The Straight Line - November Newsletter

What a busy summer for Straightline Travel Group! There are so many things to talk about!

Let’s start with the launch of our new Website, www.straightlinetravel.com! We are still working on all of the details including a destination of the month video, a specials page and an on-line store where you can purchase special gifts and travel items from all over the world!

We have also teamed up with the Womans Newpapers, www.womanspapers.com
To help promote our travel club to like minded women all over the country. The partnership has already paid off as we have hundreds of new members to the club! Get ready to welcome so new faces on your next trip.

We are also published. I had the opportunity to write a travel article on our group cruise this August. Not only did we get a published article, we made the front cover! That is right, our travel club members graced the front page of the Womans Newspapers in over 5 states. To read the article, please visit the "As Seen In" page on our website.

Imagination Cruise- We had over 130 club members join us for food, fun and fashions this summer aboard Carnival’s Imagination. It was amazing. Members from all over the country came to Miami, despite Hurricane Ernesto! For more info on this trip, check out the travel club page.

I am SO Excited to announce the launch of our Destinations Book and Dinner Meeting Club. The club already has close to 50 members who want to escape the Chicago winters via a good book. We will read a destination themed book where we will learn about the country, it’s cultures and people, then we will have dinner at a restaurant that serves cuisine of that country! At some meetings, we will have special guests from the country’s tourist board to tell us more about what we read. So far, we visited Spain, Greece and now Brazil.

I have had the opportunity to go to a few tourist board meetings this last month. Our special guest for my Caribbean Tourist Organization Meeting was the island of Anguilla. This island is a playground for the stars, however we can show you how you can go to Anguilla without breaking the bank! Look for Anguilla to be a Destination of the Month very soon.

Brazil has a very special place in my heart. Not only does it have natural beauty, amazing food and wonderful people, it is now the hottest spot to buy real estate. I am telling you, Brazil is hot. Did you know that you can buy preconstruction beach front property in the Northeast of Brazil for less then 60k USD? Straightline Travel is looking to secure some amazing property in Brazil for vacation rentals. Stay tuned for updates!

Tampa/StPete area is also booming! We are working on a group now for a tour of the Home Shopping Network and a 3 days getaway to the Tradewinds St Pete. Come on…you know you watch it! In the middle of the night, when you think nobody is looking, you flip on HSN and order up your Signature Club A or Marilyn Miglin products at a great discount! Come on down and see how it is all done. Stay tuned for details on this trip Summer 2007.

Chinese New Year!! We are securing space for a small group (25 people) to spend Chinese New Year 2007 in Hong Kong. Get your shopping shoes ready…this is a trip of all trips. Details soon!

Lastly, I have been invited to tour Puerto Rico for 7 days with the PR tourist board. I am sure this will be amazing. I will tell you all about it when I get back.
